Doors

One thing that really bothers me about my job is all of the doors I have to go through. And it's not even that I have to go through so many doors (about 25 or 30 every day) but that doors are so hard to open! A lot of them require me to swipe my badge to get access, but even worse than that is the stinkin handles... you have to turn the knob all the way, they really aren't very ergonomical, the doors are SO heavy, they are noisy, and are just so in the way....

Just kidding!

We couldn't do it... and I'm glad we didn't! When it came time to actually book the cruise, with the fees and the real cost of the room, plus considering the mandatory tips and everything that is not included- the awesome value of the cruise didn't seem like a great value anymore! Our real dream was to go to Hawaii, but we knew we could never afford it, which is why we were just going to do a cruise. One of my coworkers is a travel agent though, and so I just thought I should ask him if it was even possible to do a trip to Hawaii on our budget, and I was so pleasantly surprised! He quoted us at a price even lower than our cruise! So we did it, it's booked, we're going. And we are soooooooo super stoked.

I made a wish list

I have started a wish list :) Now when gift giving holidays come around, it will be super easy to choose. I swear, come every birthday and Christmas I have NO idea what I want, and I know that is super annoying for everyone involved. I hope everyone else will do the same! How helpful is this?!

Here's a link to mine.

Please share yours with me if you have one!

One of my new favorite things

Uncooked flour tortillas from Tortillaland!! They are THE BEST. You just put one on a heated pan, flip 30 seconds later, and TA DA!! A perfect, yummy, fresh, warm tortilla. I love them plain, but they of course make lovely burrito and quesodilla tortillas as well. They are just so easy and wonderfully delicious. I get them at Costco, and you should too :)

We've decided!

We're going to do it... we going on a cruise! We have been trying to decide what we wanted to do for our anniversary since, well since we got married I suppose. We had never been "vacation taking" kinds of people, but I think that is because we've never had a vacation! After our honeymoon, we were like, "oh we HAVE to do this more often...." It was the BEST week of my life. And we are so easy to please... our honeymoon really didn't cost very much at all, but we had the time of our life just getting away from it all and having a designated "us" time. So when trying to make anniversary plans, we were hoping to recreate the tropical, luxurious, pampered, get-away effect, but on the cheap cuz that's how we roll. A cruise seamed like the best value and a super easy vacation, so we're going to do it. We will take a 7-day Mexican Riviera cruise September 5th. A little late for our anniversay, but the tickets are cheaper then, and we get a paid holiday from work that week as well. So we will take off from Los Angeles and stop at Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, and back to L.A.

We weighed so many different options, places, prices, ideas.... we honestly labored over this decision for MONTHS. I don't know how we are ever going to decide to have a baby.

Lover Me Mine

That is what my cutie husband calls me. He's the best and I love him. He cares for me so thoroughly, loves me so deeply, and wants me so marvelously. I am annoying, needy, and whiny, and he loves me perfectly. I am one lucky girl to have such a precious husband... and he is mine forever :)
