Farewell

Time to go!

Last Day

Today is my last day as a Customer Care Representative. Since Sept 2008 I have answered THOUSANDS of phone calls from doctors, patients, purchasing staff, sales reps, and everyone in between. From placing orders to fixing everything that goes wrong with them, there is never a dull moment helping people get their breast implants. I am looking forward to my move and ready for a change. I'm also a bit apprehensive and nervous about taking complaints instead, but if anyone can do it, I can do it, and probably better :) Product Support, bring it on!

Friday

O how I love seeing the old man receptionist... that means it's almost time to go home! All during the week we have this other receptionist- he plays video games on his laptop and says "hi" and "bye" every time you walk by- it is just standard, every day. But every Friday, around lunch time, this OLD guy comes in to take his place. He wears a "war veteran" hat and listens to his radio, just sitting there for those few hours every Friday afternoon. It get's me SO pumped when I see him... he is precious, and he ushers in the sweetest time of the week. Sometimes I jump out of excitement, or at least give Yuri a high-five, but it always gives me the boost I need to make through the rest of the day. Happy Friday :)

Doors

One thing that really bothers me about my job is all of the doors I have to go through. And it's not even that I have to go through so many doors (about 25 or 30 every day) but that doors are so hard to open! A lot of them require me to swipe my badge to get access, but even worse than that is the stinkin handles... you have to turn the knob all the way, they really aren't very ergonomical, the doors are SO heavy, they are noisy, and are just so in the way....

Just kidding!

We couldn't do it... and I'm glad we didn't! When it came time to actually book the cruise, with the fees and the real cost of the room, plus considering the mandatory tips and everything that is not included- the awesome value of the cruise didn't seem like a great value anymore! Our real dream was to go to Hawaii, but we knew we could never afford it, which is why we were just going to do a cruise. One of my coworkers is a travel agent though, and so I just thought I should ask him if it was even possible to do a trip to Hawaii on our budget, and I was so pleasantly surprised! He quoted us at a price even lower than our cruise! So we did it, it's booked, we're going. And we are soooooooo super stoked.

I made a wish list

I have started a wish list :) Now when gift giving holidays come around, it will be super easy to choose. I swear, come every birthday and Christmas I have NO idea what I want, and I know that is super annoying for everyone involved. I hope everyone else will do the same! How helpful is this?!

Here's a link to mine.

Please share yours with me if you have one!

One of my new favorite things

Uncooked flour tortillas from Tortillaland!! They are THE BEST. You just put one on a heated pan, flip 30 seconds later, and TA DA!! A perfect, yummy, fresh, warm tortilla. I love them plain, but they of course make lovely burrito and quesodilla tortillas as well. They are just so easy and wonderfully delicious. I get them at Costco, and you should too :)
